Tours are available year-round, Monday through Friday:

  • 9:00 a.m., 10:00 a.m., 11:00 a.m., 1:00 p.m., 2:00 p.m., 3:00 p.m.

Guided tours are available weekends, Memorial Day through Labor Day: 

  • Saturdays: 9:00 a.m., 10:00 a.m., 11:00 a.m., 1:00 p.m., 2:00 p.m., 3:00 p.m.
    Tours will NOT be available on Saturday, June 15 or Sunday, June 16.
  • Sundays: 1:00 p.m., 2:00 p.m., 3:00 p.m.

Walk-ins are welcome! Please check-in at the Information Desk, located on the ground floor of the State Capitol.

Large groups are encouraged to call ahead and schedule a tour or complete the tour request form below.

Free visitor parking is available on the south side of the Capitol in the east parking lot (north of the State Library and adjacent to the south entrance). 

All visitors should use the public entrance, on the south side of the Capitol. For security purposes, the south doors are available as the only public entrance at all times.

Outdoor tours have been expanded for the summer of 2024! They will take place at 6 p.m. on June 10, July 8 and Aug. 12. The tour will focus on the history of the building and grounds, the Capitol monuments and the nature trail. The tour will be approximately one mile and one hour. Scooters and wheelchairs are welcome. The public is asked to meet outside the south/visitor entrance to the Capitol at 600 East Boulevard Ave. and may park in the visitor parking lot to the east.
