BISMARCK, N.D. – The North Dakota Office of Management and Budget (OMB) today announced that the Liberty Memorial Building, which houses the North Dakota State Library and the North Dakota Parks and Recreation Central Office, will be closed until further notice due to a water main break.
The broken water main caused a leak in the basement of the Liberty Memorial Building, but no library materials have been damaged. The pipe serving that area of the Capitol grounds is brittle due to age, and Facility Management had planned to replace it in the spring of this year.
State Library staff are available for general inquiries at 701-328-2492 or ndsladmn@nd.gov, and for Patron Services at 701-328-4622 or statelib@nd.gov. Parks and Recreation is available for contact through Kristin Byram, Strategic Communications Chief, at 701-328-5358 or kcbyram@nd.gov.
