Guidelines for Tree Planting on the Capitol Grounds

Policy Number 1-91
Plant material, location, and planting must be approved and supervised by Facility Management. All plant material (trees) must meet the following minimum requirements:

Six-foot height

Two-inch caliper trunk

Balled and burlap, or planter base to support root system

Hardy species, straight trunk, full crown

One-year replacement warranty
Facility Management reserves the right to reject plantings that do not meet the minimum requirements.
