This will be the 7th annual Optimist Easter Egg Hunt which is free and open to all children 9 and under. The event is sponsored and organized by the Bismarck Optimist Club. The Optimist volunteers will scatter 12,000 Easter Eggs around the Capitol Mall Area for the kids to hunt down. Kids will also get the opportunity to have their picture taken with the Easter Bunny and win prizes.

This annual event includes wrapped books for people to check out from the State Library. State Library staff will be on site to check books out, sign people up for library cards, and talk about the services provided.

This Safe Kids event includes booths with games and different safety topics. Plans include having a fire truck for tours, a dunk tank, and food trucks.
